Ride The Lightning originated while I was waiting to jump out of an airplane for the first time. I looked to my buddy and said: “Hey man, if all else fails, just ride the lightning!” It was a laughable moment, but a saying that has stuck with me. Since then, RTL has been on everything from deployment patches to going away plaques. It’s become a true motto for me. RTL is a simple way of thinking; no matter what happens, good or bad, you ride it out. You take what life hands you, plant two feet firmly on it, and ride it into the ground.
